The demand for Digital Learning continues to grow rapidly worldwide, especially after the Coronavirus pandemic hit us. Pioneers in Edtech Industry are trying their best to help make Online Learning accessible for everyone so no child has to miss on learning.
With so much happening, The biggest challenge is to recreate offline learning experiences online. Through Offline medium(schools, tuitions etc), it is much easier to learn, clarify doubts, socialize with peers etc than trying to build it online as it brings its own operational and technical constraints.
We at our company, are also in the process to design an Online…
It’s 2020 & we all know how it’s going! Well at Byjus, we designers are working from home & since its an ed-tech Company, the growth has boosted, so does our work as Designers.
Three months of lockdown, I with my amazing team (Mohijeet Das, Akilan MR) collaborated & worked on this much important challenge of efficiently shifting the offline experience of school into a digital one for kids. In all the work we found our play when we worked on “Chat Feature” in our project, wherein the best part was to brainstorm on “Emojis, Stickers & Reactions ”.

The first day of college and just as you walked in your class, your eyes got stuck on this good looking guy. So you convince yourself, “Oh, it’s love at first sight. He is so handsome & seems so Fun, Smart & Friendly”.
Oh Nooo…..But wait! You didn’t even talk to him. So odds are your heart is in for an uncalled Heart Break💔.
Apologies to start my blog on such a dark note. But frankly, we all know how quick we are to judge someone based on their physical traits. …
“I just left the kitchen to answer the doorbell. I knew this was going to happen”, the thought popped up in my mind as I came back to the kitchen to see the milk boiled over.
“I knew that the exams will be postponed due to the pandemic”, said my friend when her exams got postponed due to the Covid-19.
“I knew they will get married in 2020, I foretold Richa but she kept denying”, exclaimed my friend as she saw an Instagram post of Richa getting married in 2020.
“I knew it all along India will win this match”…
“I will always be an early person”, (But present ‘you’ is the night owl)
“I will never eat late hours” (Your future self now can’t control eating late night)
“I will get married only to you” (Many of you did not)
“Ginny will also like Caramel Cake because I do, it is a wonderful flavour” ( Ginny just tasted the cake & gave it away)
“I invite you all to my party, where we will play cards, watch FIFA together, eat pizzas & get drunk” (& then very few invitees show up)
Relatable enough? We believe that we will share…
I wandered into umpteen places,
Through the bizarre streets to the solace spaces,
Seeking for something that aids in my soul searching.
I asked lots of questions, wisest of masses had no convincing explanations,
Only the trail of words to share, that is,
for me not more than despair.
No love made me enough contented
And Life seemed so worthless
Until I stepped into boundless.
Boundless is this part of the world, Its the beauty with no senses but soul that makes you feel touched… And when I am there, those cold and pure whispers from the settling dusk, As…

When I started my career in design, I struggled to come up with ideas.
I failed miserably in the first 6 months.
Every time I would sit down to create a masterpiece, I would create a mess.
When my mentor advised me to first copy designs as an initial learning step, I was always upset and struggled with Imposter Syndrome.
There were times when I thought, “Maybe designing is just not my cup of tea. A career in designing will remain a fantasy.
But somehow I managed to sail through…
Ever felt mesmerized by the beautiful lettering you see in posts (like the one above) on Instagram or Facebook? Ended up thinking that you can’t pursue this kind of hobby or lack creativity? I say that you can do it.
I realized this after attending “Brush Lettering Workshop” taken by Nandini Gangal, Digital Product Designer at Flipkart. What I learned after this workshop was that for Brush Lettering you just need 3 things — just the right pen, paper, and practice and you’re ready to create your own beautiful piece of lettering. On 25th November, HelloMeets organized a meetup with Supriyo Roy, Design Manager at Flipkart. Supriyo played an integral role in the evolution of Flipkart’s consumer shopping experience.
